NOW more than ever, we are called upon to make a difference!

You have been on our minds over the past few weeks. As a close supporter and friend, your health and safety is very important to all of us here at Habitat for Humanity of Collin County, which is why we have taken measures to be socially distant from you. And let me say - you are missed!

Another group that has been on our minds and hearts, and we hope yours too, is our Habitat Homeowners. While we are "sheltering in place" in our homes, some of our homeowners are doing this in unsafe, unhealthy, and unstable situations. Because of this - the one priority we continue to focus on is building and repairing homes for our family partners.

In a time when very little is certain, it is important to remain compassionate, caring, and generous. We pray that you will be our disciples and provide the support and resources that are needed for us to continue to feed and support our Habitat families and our staff. Communities Foundation of Texas, United Way and the Dallas Cowboys have teamed up to present North Texas Giving Tuesday Now on Tuesday May 5, 2020. This emergency campaign will give our community the chance to help us fulfill our mission by providing critical funds. You can help us by participating in the emergency response day:

NORTH TEXAS GIVING TUESDAY NOW-MAY 5TH

This emergency fundraising campaign is vital to the life of our organization. We hope we can count on you to join our community of supporters as we forge ahead to do the work our community needs. Our McKinney and Plano ReStores had to reduce operating hours along with reducing all staff hours, but the work has not stopped!! Along with your charitable giving and volunteer efforts, ReStore proceeds are vital to our mission.

I know you are making some hard decisions right now. Know that you are not alone. It was a hard decision to make when we suspended volunteer activities and even harder to reduce our ReStore hours. While you are deciding what to do and looking at ways to help - I ask you to consider supporting a cause close to your heart and give a gift to support Habitat for Humanity Homeowners - your neighbors!

A lot of things are changing, but our mission is not. Habitat for Humanity seeks to put God's love into action by bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope. Our prayer is that you remain safe, healthy and we all come back from this better and stronger.

Thank you for all you do!
